ITINERARY
Day 1 – Shkoder to Lepushe
Transportation from Shkoder to Lepushe, a beautiful mountain village surrounded by the dramatic peaks of the Albanian Alps. Enjoy free time to explore the village and admire the surrounding landscapes. In the evening, enjoy a traditional dinner.

Overnight: Lepushe
Day 2 – Lepushe to Vusanje
After breakfast, continue towards Vusanje in Montenegro, combining transportation and hiking as planned for the route. Enjoy the mountain scenery and a picnic lunch along the way. Arrive in Vusanje and enjoy the peaceful atmosphere of this traditional mountain village.

Day 3 – Vusanje to Doberdol
Continue towards Doberdol, one of the most remote and fascinating mountain settlements in Northern Albania. This stage combines transportation and hiking according to the planned itinerary, through impressive highland landscapes. Enjoy a picnic during the journey.

Overnight: Doberdol
Day 4 – Doberdol to Cerem
Begin your hike towards Cerem, following mountain trails through spectacular alpine landscapes. Enjoy panoramic views, peaceful valleys and the atmosphere of remote mountain communities. Stop for a picnic lunch during the hike.
Meals: Breakfast, picnic lunch and dinner
Overnight: Cerem
Day 5 – Cerem to Valbona
Continue on foot towards Valbona Valley, one of the most celebrated destinations in the Albanian Alps. Follow scenic mountain trails, admire breathtaking panoramas and enjoy a picnic lunch surrounded by nature.
Meals: Breakfast, picnic lunch and dinner
Overnight: Valbona
Day 6 – Valbona to Theth
Continue towards Theth, combining transportation and hiking according to the planned arrangements. Discover the dramatic mountain scenery and enjoy a picnic lunch during the journey. Upon arrival, settle into your guesthouse and enjoy dinner.

Overnight: Theth
Day 7 – Theth to Shkoder
Enjoy a self-guided excursion in Theth National Park. Explore the surrounding landscapes at your own pace. A picnic lunch is provided for your excursion, followed by transportation from Theth to Shkoder.

• Any additional services not specifically mentioned under “What’s Included”.

For guests who prefer to hike without carrying their main luggage, luggage transport can be arranged at the following prices:

– 2 people: €190 per person
– 3 people: €150 per person
– 4 or more people: €100 per person

Requirements
During the tour, guests will enjoy traditional Albanian and local mountain cuisine, offering an authentic taste of the region’s culinary heritage. Meals feature local flavours and traditional dishes, with locally sourced ingredients whenever available. If you have any special dietary requirements, food allergies or intolerances, please inform North Albania Alps at the time of booking. We will do our best to accommodate your needs, including vegetarian meals and other dietary preferences, wherever reasonably possible and depending on the availability of ingredients and the facilities at local guesthouses.
Special dietary options cannot always be guaranteed in remote mountain villages. Guests with severe food allergies or strict dietary requirements should contact us before booking to discuss their needs.
ACCOMMODATION
Accommodation is arranged in guesthouses and mountain lodgings along the route. All overnight stays are based on shared rooms. Facilities, room arrangements and amenities may vary depending on the village and the accommodation available.
Self-Guided Hiking with Support
This tour is designed for independent travellers who want to discover the Albanian Alps at their own pace.
No guide will accompany you on the hiking trails. Before departure, North Albania Alps will provide the
practical information needed to prepare for your journey and complete the itinerary independently.

Is This Tour Right for You?
This adventure is best suited to independent travellers with previous hiking experience who are comfortable navigating mountain trails without a guide. Participants should be prepared for changing mountain weather, remote locations, uneven trails and limited services in some areas. Review the final hiking distances, estimated walking times, elevation profiles and difficulty level before booking.
BOOKING AND PAYMENT CONDITIONS
To confirm a booking, a deposit of €175 per person is required.
The remaining balance of €400 per person, together with any applicable luggage transport fee, must be paid before departure.
Payments must be completed within the agreed deadlines communicated by North Albania Alps.
CANCELLATION POLICY
Cancellation by the customer
The following refund conditions apply to cancellations made by the customer:
– 100% refund for cancellations made at least 30 days before departure.
– 50% refund for cancellations made within 21 days before departure.
– 30% refund for cancellations made within 14 days before departure.
– No refund for cancellations made less than 14 days before departure.
The refund cannot exceed the amount actually paid by the customer.
The precise deadlines and applicable refund percentage must be clarified in the final booking conditions to avoid overlapping cancellation periods.
Cancellation by North Albania Alps
If the tour is cancelled by North Albania Alps, the customer is entitled to a 100% refund of the amount paid.
IMPORTANT INFORMATION
Participants should be prepared for mountain hiking and bring appropriate hiking shoes, clothing suitable for changing weather conditions, a backpack, water and other personal hiking essentials.
Weather and mountain conditions may require changes to the itinerary for safety reasons.
Participants should follow the instructions provided by the tour organiser and respect the natural environment and local communities.
Bookings made shortly before the departure date, including last-minute bookings, are subject to availability. Accommodation, transportation and other tour services must be confirmed by North Albania Alps before the booking can be considered confirmed.
